Before Your Appointment – Pre-Care Advice

Before Your Brow Lamination Appointment
To get the best results and ensure a smooth treatment, please follow this pre-care advice:
  • Avoid Retinol & Active Skincare:
    Do not use retinol, AHA/BHA, or exfoliating products around the brow area for at least 5 days before your appointment.
  • No Tweezing or Waxing:
    Let your brows grow in naturally — avoid plucking, waxing, or threading at least 1 week before your appointment so we can shape them professionally during the treatment.
  • Arrive with Clean Skin:
    Come with no makeup, oils, or skincare on your brow area to ensure the products work effectively and adhere properly.
  • No Fake Tan on the Face:
    Avoid fake tan near your brows for at least 48 hours before your appointment, as it can alter the tint colour.
  • Avoid Sunburn or Irritation:
    If your skin is sunburnt or sensitised, please wait until it has fully healed before booking.

Aftercare

Aftercare for Brow Lamination
To keep your brows looking their best and maintain results, follow this advice in the first 24–48 hours:
First 24 Hours:
  • Keep brows dry – No water, steam, sweat, or skincare products near the brows.
  • Avoid touching or brushing the brows excessively.
  • No makeup or tanning products on or around the brows.
  • Do not apply oils or creams to the brow area.
First 48 Hours:
  • Avoid saunas, hot showers, swimming, and facials.
  • Sleep on your back if possible to avoid pressing on the brows.
  • Don’t over-brush the brows – once a day is enough.
Ongoing Care:
  • Apply a nourishing oil or brow balm (like castor oil or keratin-based conditioner) 2–3 times a week to keep brow hairs healthy and hydrated.
  • Gently brush into place each morning using a spoolie.
💡 Brow lamination lasts 5–8 weeks with proper care. You can rebook every 6–8 weeks depending on your hair growth and skin type.

Training is held in Caversham, Reading, just a:
  • 10-minute drive from Reading Train Station
  • 9-minute drive from Reading Town Centre
Easily accessible by car or public transport, with nearby parking options available.

To make your appointment as comfortable and stress-free as possible, please keep the following in mind:

  • Your remaining balance (if not paid in full upfront) – payable by cash, card, or bank transfer
  • Glasses, if you wear contact lenses (they'll need to be removed before treatment)
  • Headphones if you’d like to listen to your own music or a podcast
  • You’re also welcome to request a specific playlist or podcast – I want you to feel relaxed!

  • Avoid hoods, high collars, hair clips, or buns – these can interfere with your head position on the lash bed

    Client booking Policies

    Deposit & Payment Policy

    You can choose to pay either the £20 non-refundable deposit to secure your appointment or pay the full amount upfront.
    Both the deposit and full payments are non-refundable, regardless of the reason for cancellation, lateness, or no-show.
    The remaining balance (if not paid in full upfront) is due on the day of your appointment and can be paid by cash, card, or bank transfer.
    By booking, you agree to these payment terms and understand no refunds will be given under any circumstances.

    Arrival & Check-In

    • Please arrive on time (not early).
    • When you arrive, send me a quick message before knocking.
    • If you are more than 15 minutes late, your appointment may be cancelled and your booking fee forfeited.

    Booking in Advance

    • I get very busy—especially evenings—so please book as early as possibleto secure your preferred date and time.

    Pre-Appointment Prep

    • Arrive with a clean, makeup-free face—no mascara, eyeliner, eye creams, strip lashes, clusters, or waterproof products for at least 48 hours prior.
    • • Do not use oil-based skincare or curl your lashes on the day of your appointment.
    • • Remove contact lenses or wear glasses.

    Cancellation & Rescheduling

    • All deposits are non-refundable, no matter the reason.
    • Cancellations or reschedules within 48 hours of your appointment will incur the full service fee.
    • You may reschedule once(subject to availability) with at least48 hours’ notice. A£10 rescheduling feeapplies.
    • No-showswill be charged the full price and may affect future booking eligibility.

    Infills & Maintenance

    • Infills are booked separately—required every 1.5–3 weeks when you have at least 40–50% of your lashes remaining.
    • If more than 21 days have passed since your last full set, a new full set booking is required.
    • I do not infill another technician’s work for hygiene and legal reasons.
    Aftercare Compliance Policy
    • Clients are responsible for following the advised aftercare routine.
    • I am not liable for poor lash retention if aftercare instructions are not followed.

    Salon Etiquette

    • Bathroom Break:Please use the restroom before your appointment to avoid interruptions.
    • No Plus-Ones:To maintain a calm environment, appointments are for clients only.
    👶 Child & Guest Policy (Expanded)
    • For safety and insurance reasons, no children or additional guests are allowed in the studio.
    • Please attend your appointment alone to maintain a calm and professional space.

    Results & Expectations

    • Your lashes, your results: Final style and retention depend on your natural lash health and aftercare.
    • I will advise on the best style for your eye shape and lifestyle—please trust my recommendations to achieve optimal results.

    Photography & Social Media Policy

    • I may take before and after photos of your lashes for marketing purposes (Instagram, website, etc.).
    • Please let me know in advance if you are not comfortable with your images being shared.

    Health & Hygiene Policy

    • If you are feeling unwell (cold, flu, conjunctivitis, etc.), please reschedule your appointment.
    • For health and hygiene reasons, clients showing visible signs of illness may be refused treatment on the day.

    New Client Policy

    New Client Policy
    • New clients may be required to complete a short consultation form before their first appointment.
    • A patch test is recommended for all new clients requesting lash tint or glue-based services.

    Patch test Policy

    Patch testing is recommended for all new clients before their first lash extension or tint appointment. This helps to check for any sensitivity or allergic reactions to the adhesive or tint products used during the treatment.
    • Patch tests are optional, but by choosing not to have one, you accept full responsibility for any reaction that may occur.
    • If you'd like a patch test, it must be done at least 24–48 hours before your appointment.
    • Patch tests are quick, free, and can be booked by messaging us on Instagram @beautybyalp or by email.
    • disclaimer will be signed on the day of your appointment if you decide to waive the patch test.
    Please note: allergic reactions are rare, but they can happen even if you’ve had lashes before. If you’ve had a reaction in the past, a patch test is strongly advised.

    Paying deposit policy

    Deposit:
    £20 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your appointment. This must be paid at the time of booking.
    Remaining Balance:
    The remaining balance is due on the day of your appointment and can be paid by cash or bank transfer.
    Please note: card payments are not accepted.
    By booking, you are agreeing to pay the remaining balance on the day of your appointment and understand that failure to do so may result in loss of your booking and deposit.
